In ICP and AAS analyses, the sample is dissolved and introduced as a solution. The method used for this step — fusion, microwave digestion or automation — directly affects both analytical accuracy and operator safety. Anka Analitik offers three distinct solution options.
METHOD SELECTION
The fusion method (FX Series) completely dissolves the sample with flux, minimising matrix effects; acid digestion is insufficient for silicate and refractory oxide samples. Microwave digestion (QWave) and Vulcan operate on the acid digestion principle and are suitable for organic matrices, biological samples and environmental specimens.

The QWave Microwave Assisted Digestion System handles digestion, extraction, evaporation, and synthesis on a single platform — with independent per-vessel pressure monitoring, rotating antenna design, and wireless touchscreen control. Safety and throughput without compromise.
Manual sample preparation limits analytical throughput and puts operators at risk. Vulcan automates acid digestion, dilution, and autosampler transfer in one integrated workflow — increasing laboratory capacity, accuracy, and operator safety.
