Bulk density, true density, flowability, compressibility and porosity measurements. Used in powder metallurgy, pharmaceutical and food sectors for formulation and QC.
WHY IT MATTERS
In pharmaceutical, ceramic, food and metal powder industries, characterization of raw materials and intermediates is essential for process control and product quality. Incorrect density or flowability data leads to dosage errors, compaction problems and increased waste. Bettersize powder characterization instruments measure these parameters according to standards, with repeatability and speed.

Manual determination of static and dynamic angle of repose. The most direct measurement method for powder flowability. For pharmaceutical, food and chemical industry applications.
The BeDensi B Series determines the bulk density of powders and granules using the standard measuring-cylinder method. Three models — the standard B1, the stirrer-equipped B1-S and the P with built-in balance — support ISO 787-11, ASTM B212, USP and Ph.Eur. methods.
Bulk density and tapped density measurement per ISO 787-11, USP <616> and Ph.Eur. 2.9.34. Fully automated tapping mechanism with 250 ml and 100 ml cylinder options.
BetterPyc 380 is an automatic benchtop gas pycnometer that measures volume, true density, solid content and open cell content with 0.0001 g/cm³ accuracy using the gas displacement method. Compatible with helium or nitrogen; compliant with USP, Ph. Eur., ISO 12154 and ASTM standards.
H-Flow measures the flow rate of metal powders using Hall (2.5 mm) and Carney (5.0 mm) funnels. The flow time of a 50 g sample is reported in s/50g, in accordance with ASTM B213 and ISO 4490.
The PowderPro A1 is a fully automated powder characterization instrument combining smart Wi-Fi control, high-resolution CCD image processing, and patented 3D electromagnetic vibration technology. It measures 11 parameters including angle of repose, bulk density, and Carr index — fully compliant with ISO 3953, USP, and Ph. Eur.
